Fishing boats in Calais. This is model of the Benedictine Brandy Monestary. It isn't a real monestary, just where they make the brandy. The actual building was so large, I couldn't get it in one photo, so the model is actually better.
In this part of the world, the tides can exceed 40 feet (10 meters) daily. Hence some very long ramps. This photo is taken at the Le Harvre marina. A quick side trip to Paris to meet Carol, who will be our guest for the next 10 days.

The old Honfluer Harbor, just across the Seine river from Le Harvre. It is a picture postcard just looking at it. Sailing down along the beaches of Normandy, you still see relects of WWII. These are the remenants of the harbor built overnight at Arromanches.
